This document describes the terms of use of these services. By signing up for our services (free or paid), you give your acceptance of all the terms of use defined in this document. If you don’t accept the terms of use, please don’t sign up, or cancel our service immediately.

We reserve the right to amend, remove, or add to these terms of use at any time. The “Revision Date” at the bottom of this document indicates when the terms of use were last updated. Your use of our services (free of paid) means that you accept the updated Terms and Use.

Data Quality

You should understand that data could have quality issues from its original sources (i.e. SEC, stock exchanges, and other third party data providers). Data issues can also be introduced from ETL (Extract, Transform & Load), data integration, data storage, calculation and presentation processes. Although it is our top priority to improve data quality, we can not guarantee 100% data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and correctness.

Our data models, algorithms and analytics are built upon industry best practices or common knowledge. We can not guarantee their correctness or completeness.

Your use of data and information on our sites is at your own risk and it is your responsibility to verify and validate data before making any investment decisions.

Account Creation and Trial Period

An account will be created for you when you sign up by using your email address and a password, or by connecting your social accounts such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, Apple, etc. By signing up and creating an account, you give your consent to the terms of use as defined by this document, and the Privacy Policy.

By default, you will be assigned a “Free” plan. If you are a first time user, you have a 14-day trial period, during which you have access to all data and functionalities. After 14 days, in order to access certain value-add data and functionality, you are required to choose a paid subscription plan as defined on the Pricing page (or Plan page) on our website or mobile app. We reserve the right to change our pricing structure anytime with or without notice. We reserve the right to modify and interpret which data and features go to which subscription plan.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service to anyone, in which case, your account may be removed with or without notice.

Paid Subscription

After the trial period, you may not access our paid services without a valid paid subscription/plan.

To sign up for a paid subscription on your cell phone, open the FinTurtle app, go to “More”, then “Plans”, then follow the screen instructions to select the right plan that meets your needs. You can choose from Gold, Platinum, or VIP plans. For each plan, you may select monthly or annual payment methods which are priced differently.

You can also upgrade to a paid subscription by responding to the prompt message when you try to access a feature that requires a paid subscription. Follow the on-screen instructions on the message to choose the right subscription plan for you.

Payment

You may choose monthly or annual payment upon signing up for a paid plan. Please note that monthly and annual payment options are priced differently.

We use third party payment services (Stripe for website, Apple App Store or Google Play Store for mobile) to process your payment. We do not collect or retain your credit card & address information. However, we do receive your payment history such as choice of membership plan, subscription start and end dates, payment method (monthly or annually), in order to provide the services to you. We may also facilitate payment receipts that are prepared by the third party payment service.

Renewal

Your subscription will be automatically renewed by the end of the current billing cycle, unless you cancel the subscription prior to the current subscription end date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your paid subscription any time. A cancelled subscription means that it will not auto renew at the end of the billing cycle. You can continue to access the subscription you paid until the end of the current billing cycle. You will NOT receive any partial refund.

Upgrades and Downgrades

You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan anytime. Upgrade takes effect immediately. Downgrades will take effect from the next billing cycle.

Discounts / Promotional Prices:

We may offer discounts and promotional prices from time to time. Promotion and discount prices are applied to the initial period only (i.e. the first month, the first year, depending on your payment terms. Or, as advised on the offer). After the discounted pricing period ends, rate shall revert to standard pricing.

Sole use only

Your paid subscription is for sole use only. You may not share or transfer your subscription with any other person or entities.

Data Redistribution

Data, information and other content provided via our mobile app and website are exclusively for your personal investment research purpose. They may not be utilized to build a product or service intended for use by other people or entities.

Your subscription does not grant you the rights to redistribute and/or resell our data. If you want to redistribute our data in any format, you must obtain a written authorization from us. Please find our contact information in the “Contact Us” section.

Whenever you reference our data or information in any shared documents, articles or presentations, you must reference it in its entirety, with the designated context, and with our app name (FinTurtle) & logo. In the case when our app name isn’t visible, you must add a note to show the content is sourced from FinTurtle, or add a URL that points to the content on our website or mobile app.
